The Story
A young enthusiast with a long view of the road.
About Charlie Deane, founder of Meridian Motorworks.
I'm 25, born and raised in Indianapolis, in the shadows of the Indianapolis Motor Speedway. I've had a burning passion for anything with an engine for as long as I can remember. I bought my first motorcycle in 2019 and fell in love immediately. Since then, I've owned several hundred bikes, and I don't plan on stopping anytime soon.
That obsession quickly turned into a profession. I've built extensive experience in the auction business, assisting in the sales of several million-dollar motorcycle and parts collections. I know the rooms, the players, and what separates a good listing from one that gets lost in the noise.
What drives me isn't just the sale, it's the match. I love connecting the right people with the right bikes. I wasn't around when these machines were new, but there's nothing that interests me more than the stories they tell. The history, the simplicity, the provenance. To me, the story is just as important as the bike itself.
I bring deep connections in both the auction world and the collecting world, and I use that network to set my clients' bikes apart from other sellers. Above all, I pride myself on honesty and transparency. No inflated condition reports, no shortcuts. Just the machine, told truthfully.
